About Cromwell Cubs
We meet every Wednesday in term time from 6pm until 7.30pm. We meet at The Claire Tiltman Centre. Gantry Place, Cotton Ln, Stone, Greenhithe DA9 9FA.
We are part of the Brent (6th Dartford) Scout Group and our section is called the ''Cromwell'' Cub Pack. Our packs name ''Cromwell'' is due to the fact that Oliver Cromwell camped on the site of the Brent Primary School before gathering troops to march on Parliament.
After your child has attended cubs for a few weeks and has made the decision to stay, they will be invested into the group. This is when they will make the Cub Scout promise and are presented with the group scarf to officially welcome them to the group. You will be invited to watch them become invested.
We are a very busy pack and have lots of fun each week. Sometimes we go out for our meetings which you will be advised about beforehand.
We also have a number of indoor and outdoor camps throughout the year for cubs to attend if they would like to.
During the time your child will be at cubs they work towards a number of activity badges and challenge badges which will give them the chance to undertake new challenges and learn new skills. The highest award they can gain is the 'SILVER AWARD' and this badge and certificate is presented to them by the Mayor of Dartford at a special ceremony held at the Civic Centre.
Subs are £20 per month, payable by standing order, bank details are as follows: Sort Code: 401904 Account No: 52054167
If your child is unable to attend due to sickness or holidays please let us know. If your child does not attend for 3 consecutive weeks and we are not advised of a reason their place will be offered to another child.
Please log into the Cromwell cubs web page regularly to see latest news, new dates for events and plans for weekly meetings.
