CLIMBERS BADGE COURSE

9.30am to 4.30pm
This course is open to all Dartford District Scouts and Explorers with numbers limited to 30
Cost for the activity day £15
The morning session will comprise of the theory side of climbing i.e. equipment, calls, environment and safety.
The afternoon practical session is the hands on climbing where you will be able to endeavour to attempt the eight different climbs as well as practicing the 10 meters abseil from the top of the wall.
For Scouts if four climbs and an abseil are completed the 'Climbing Activity' badge will be awarded, whilst Explorers will need to take the knowledge they have gained another step further before they achieve their activity badge.
All equipment will be provided, plus drinks, participants will need to bring with them a packed lunch, suitable clothing for the day plus trainers would be advisable for climbing.
To book your place, please complete the attached activity form and return it with a cheque for £15 made payable to '5th Dartford Scout Group'. Limited places available, hence first come first served.
